Alasdair Outhwaite is a Partner in our corporate group based in the Manchester office. He specialises in advising both public and private companies on acquisitions, disposals, IPOs, secondary issues and joint ventures. Alasdair has a particular focus on private equity transactions.
His recent deal experience includes advising Holidaybreak plc on its proposed £312m takeover by way of scheme of arrangement; Endless on their sale of Crown Paints; the shareholders of Multisol on the sale of their company to Brenntag; the shareholders of Fourth Hospitality on the sale of their company to ECI; LDC in relation to their investments in (1) Matrix (2) JP Morgan's Wealth Management Business (3) H T Forrest; GCP on its MBO of Excelsior Technologies, Metronet on its LDC backed MBO and INEOS Europe on its acquisition of the Seal Sands site from BASF plc.
Alasdair plays a leading role in the Eversheds' Chemical Sector having acted for a number of years for INEOS and having recently advised Brenntag, Multisol and Crown Paints. He has also forged close links with the chemical industries representative body, the Chemical Industries Association.
