Alix Prentice is a partner in the Financial Services Regulatory group in the London office.
Alix has specialised in financial services regulation for the last 4 years, advising investment banks, asset managers and brokers on all aspects of FCA/PRA regulation. Particular areas of interest and expertise include alternative funds marketing into Europe, perimeter and authorisation matters for new and incoming FS sector businesses, regulatory considerations on corporate reorganisations and mergers and acquisitions, custody and client asset/client money protections and arrangements and business planning for European Commission-driven change (in particular, MiFID II, EMIR and AIFMD).
Alix also advises firms and their customers on their contractual relationships, with a particular emphasis on prime brokerage, custody, control and investment management agreements.
Alix qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and started her financial services career in the General Counsel's division of the FSA. Alix joined Taylor Wessing as a partner in 2012 from the London office of US firm Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft.
