Andrew is a partner in the Disputes and Investigations group. He advises on general commercial and corporate disputes, in particular in the financial services sector.
His recent cases include successful proceedings (at first instance and appeal) relating to option rights over the Eggborough coal-fired power station, Charter v City Index and Others (a contribution claim against directors and auditors) and Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi v Baskan Gida and Others, the successful defence of a major letter of credit fraud claim for the Ferrero Group relating to a Turkish hazelnut supplier. He has recently been acting for Albemarle Corporation in proceedings relating to the terms of a pharmaceutical supply contract (AstraZeneca v Albemarle International Corporation).
Andrew also specialises in claims and regulatory investigations involving the accountancy profession. His experience includes advising on several large-scale professional negligence disputes, including the defence of claims against Coopers & Lybrand arising out of the Barings collapse, and the Mayflower AADB investigation. He is currently acting for PricewaterhouseCoopers on matters relating to the sub-prime lender, Cattles.
