Personal Profile
Educated at a grammar school founded by Henry VIII, Bob’s entry into the legal profession was via the less usual disciplines of Maths, Physics and Chemistry. University education was at Birmingham where Bob was privileged to attend the lectures and seminars given by lecturers such as Professor Sir Gordon Borrie (Contract), Professor Robert Pennington (Company) and Bryn Perrin (Employment). After six months hard labour at Lancaster Gate Bob passed the final examinations obtaining a distinction in the Commercial Law paper.
The Birmingham tradition has been maintained by Bob’s daughter who is also a Birmingham graduate and is now working at The Cabinet Office. Bob’s son is a Masters graduate in Naval Architecture now working for London Offshore Consultants.
Bob is head of the Commercial Business department and specializes in Corporate/Company, Property and general commercial matters. The emphasis is Corporate and Licensing work.
Bob takes a very active role in the financial management of the Partnership and development of the practice as a whole. He is a regular contributor to seminars given by the Leeds Day Commercial team to all of the firm’s clientele.
