Catherine is an associate in our pensions team, based in Cardiff. She joined our pensions team from DLA Piper in London on qualifying as a solicitor in 2007.
Catherine works for a variety of both public and private sector clients and has experience of advising trustees and employers on corporate transactions, scheme mergers, outsourcing projects and general pension scheme advisory work.
She advises on the structure and drafting of all forms of occupational pension schemes, projects to update and consolidate scheme rules, advice on the cessation of future accrual and advising employers on member complaints to the Pensions Ombudsman. She also advises on all employer/trustee relationship issues, including the legal aspects of implementing investment strategies and decisions, scheme funding, regulatory compliance and scheme change.
Catherine's recent experience includes advising on the submission of contingent assets to the Pension Protection Fund, the drafting and review of scheme rules and projects to vary benefit accrual, including consultation requirements.
