Charles practices across the full range of intellectual property advertising and sport in transactions regulations and disputes.
He advises organisations and individuals who own or license intellectual property rights, particularly leading brand owners and advertising agencies. Charles' clients include those working in the food, entertainment, media, sport, technology, life sciences and advertising industries. Charles is a key member of the firm's Media and Entertainment, Consumer Products, Fashion & Luxury Brands, Advertising and Sports Industry groups.
He represents clients in relation to their trade marks, domain names, copyrights and designs, including advising on litigation, oppositions and trade mark filing and opposition strategies. He also specialises in the sale, purchase and licensing of brands, as well as IP advertising and sports regulatory law.
Outside the firm Charles is a member of the Advertising Law Group, International Trade Mark Association, Institute of Trade Mark Agents, Chartered Institute of Patent Agents, International Association of Entertainment Lawyers, British Franchise Association and the British Association of Sport and Law.
