Deborah qualified as a solicitor in 2004, following a successful career in banking. She joined Roythornes in 2008 to strengthen their company .commercial team. She is recognised for her highly client focused approach, taking time to understand her client’s needs and then to develop innovative solutions which achieve the client’s business objectives.
Building on her background in banking and consultancy, Deborah's legal work and experience encompasses all types of corporate work and has included extensive experience in Share Sale and Purchase Agreements, Management Buy Outs (MBOs), Shareholders Agreements and Joint Venture set ups. She has developed particular expertise in company restructures including share for share exchanges, de-mergers and capital reductions.
Deborah has considerable experience in partnership law and her work in that sphere has included looking after the conversion of a number of professional firms to limited liability partnerships.
Deborah is increasingly recognised for her specialist knowledge of agricultural law and advises a number of the country’s top producer organisations, including advising on their formation and constitutional documentation in relation to their dealings with the RPA. She has also advised a number of industrial and provident societies including supporting a limited company in converting into an industrial and provident society, with the associated transfer of engagements.
