Emma is an Associate in the IT, Telecoms group and advises on all aspects of new media and information technology with an emphasis on technology focused commercial transactions, including software licensing and distribution agreements, a wide variety of commercial services agreements and internet related issues.
Emma has gained particular experience in advising clients on website launches and reviews, advising on online terms of use, supply, privacy policies and the ecommerce and distance selling implications of selling and trading online. Emma has also been seconded to a leading global index company where she advised on a broad range of commercial contracts.
Emma also regularly advises on data protection matters with a focus on online data protection compliance including advising on a wide range of issues around how businesses collect, use and transfer information. Other experience includes assisting a range of multinational clients with audit and compliance strategies to comply with cookie law changes with the revised e-Privacy Directive.
