Geoffrey Davies joined Stone King from from Lewis Silkin in September 2012 bringing with him an exceptional reputation for his work on academy conversions. He is, according to Chambers and Partners, recognised nationally as a significant figure in the education market.
Geoffrey was a partner in Titmuss, Sainer & Webb (now Dechert) for 14 years before setting up his own corporate law practice, concentrating on a small number of clients including the Haymarket Media Group, Fitch Plc, Euro RSCG, Conran Holdings and Bonhams.
Geoffrey joined Lewis Silkin LLP as a consultant in 2000 to allow him to continue to care for his key clients within a larger practice. At the same time he started to grow the firm’s education practice from a standing start. Geoffrey was involved in establishing over 70 academies and was at the forefront of the development of academies, acting for many of the original multi-academy trusts, including United Learning Trust, Harris Federation, ARK Schools and Oasis Community Learning.
Outside the firm Geoffrey is a director of Bonhams, United Learning Trust and New Schools Network.
