Glyn Morgan

Glyn Morgan is a partner and Head of the IT & Telecoms group at Taylor Wessing. He has over 25 years' experience as an IT, technology, digital media and commercial lawyer, which includes advising in relation to:

regulatory issues, such as those arising under in relation to marketing and selling (including via digital platforms, to consumers and to children), data protection, interception of communications, waste and recycling (including in relation to electronic equipment, batteries and packaging), export control, exhaustion of rights and related licensing issues, product composition and manufacture, products and safety, toys and toy safety, and in other fields related to technology, the internet, data protection and privacy and consumers;
IT and digital-related projects and services, acting for both suppliers and customers. These include advising on contracts in a very wide variety of fields, such as software licensing and use (including "software as service" models), software and systems development, hardware supply and support, websites, apps, online business models generally, leasing and rental of technology, distribution, agency and marketing arrangements, partnering agreements, pure intellectual property rights licences and many other types of contract;
start-ups, particularly in the technology and digital media fields;
outsourcing contracts, particularly those with an IT or other technology angle;
pan-European technology and digitally-related projects and regulatory issues;
risk management in relation to technology companies, including advising underwriters of professional indemnity insurance for technology companies on risk management by and in relation to their insured clients;
inception, protection, exploitation and transfer of intellectual property rights; and
resolution of disputes in relation to technology-related project and service contracts and other technology-related issues (such as misuse of intellectual property rights).
