Glynne is a partner in the Education Group. He heads Eversheds UK Governance and External Relations practice and Eversheds International Education practice.
Glynne has worked extensively in the Gulf and Asia include advising Newcastle University on its medical campus in Malaysia and marine engineering campus in Singapore, acting for City University on its joint venture in Dubai and UCL on its Adelaide campus and Gulf campuses. He also acted for UCL on its biomedical joint venture with Yale.
He recently acted on the setting up of the Gazelle Group by 5 leading FE colleges.
Glynne has advised on a number of academies sponsored by further education colleges such as Barnfield; he helped develop its federated structure. He acted for Peterborough Regional College and College of West Anglia on their HE joint ventures with Anglia Ruskin University. He represented the FECs involved in the set up of University College Suffolk.
Glynne advised Apollo Global on its takeover of BPP and recently advised Regents College on its acquisition of the American Intercontinental University. In addition he has a number of private sector education clients such as the US organisations University Ventures, Cambridge Education Group and Bridgepoint Education. He also advises a number of US universities on their EU operations including Harvard.
He acts for a number of private equity firms on their interests in education including being involved in Providence Private Equity acquiring Instituto Marangoni.
He acted for the Swedish firm IES on its setting up the first managed free school in the UK and acted for Kunskapsskolan on their academy schools. He has also advised a number of education institutions in sponsoring academies and other schools.
Glynne is a member of the US higher education organisation NACUA and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Corporate Finance Faculty.
