James is a partner in the Corporate department at Taylor Wessing and specialises in private equity and M&A transactions.
James has extensive experience in the UK, EU, and international private equity sectors, including management buyouts/buyins, leveraged buyouts, and venture and development capital investments acting for institutional investors, management teams, and investee companies. James also has extensive experience in all major types of corporate and corporate finance transactions, including domestic and cross-border M&A, and has advised on a broad range of matters across a variety of sectors.
James joined the Private Equity team at Taylor Wessing in 2012 after nearly ten years as a private equity partner at international firm Jones Day. Prior to that, he trained at, and subsequently became a partner in, City firm Gouldens (which merged with Jones Day in 2003).
