The commercial and intellectual property aspects of technology transactions including spin-outs, start-ups, venture capital investments, trade sales and IPOs.
IP and IT agreements, including patent and software licensing, research and development agreements, collaborations, clinical trials agreements, distribution and agency agreements.
Intellectual property and IT contract disputes and patent validity and infringement issues.
Malcolm works primarily in the life sciences and technology industry sectors.
He was previously Vice President and General Counsel at Genset in Paris, a NASDAQ listed biotechnology and bioinformatics company. Malcolm speaks regularly on commercial and intellectual property issues.
Malcolm has a degree in molecular biology and biochemistry from the University of Durham and a Ph.D. in molecular biology from Imperial College, London.
He is the Company Secretary of One Nucleus, the UK's largest biotech network.
Malcolm speaks both French and German.
