Nick Porter qualified in 2002 having trained with a regional law firm in Cambridge, following qualification he worked in Cambridge and Norwich. Nick joined Buckles in 2010.

Nick regularly advises clients in the general commercial and construction sectors on a wide variety of contractual disputes, including breach of contract claims for defective works on construction projects, terminated contracts and non-payment. Nick also advises developers on property litigation related matters, including title defects, boundary and right of way issues and squatters.

Nick acts for both public and private sector clients, and has experience of representing clients in adjudications and the Technology and Construction Court as well as the High Court and County Courts.

Nick has a particular expertise in insolvency matters within the construction sector. He recently advised a large construction company following a winding-up petition presented by a sub-contractor, and represented a number of sub-contractors following the administration of Connaught.
