Nigel is a partner in the commercial group specialising in outsourcing and business process transformation. He heads the Strategic Partnership team and has leading experience of designing/advising on large scale procurements often requiring a multi-disciplinary approach, also working with Eversheds Consulting to provide solution design, project management and delivery capability.
Nigel leads Eversheds’ commercial support to the Police sector, leading the procurement of a Strategic Partnership for Lincolnshire Police and was commercial design lead on the West Midlands and Surrey Police Partnership. He is currently advising on Stage 2 Transfers.
Recent experience:
Cornwall Council Partnership – went live earlier this year, provides for the delivery by BT of multi services to Cornwall Council and a number of Health bodies in Cornwall. It provides service transformation and cost savings within an incremental arrangement which allows for demand and service flexibility as the funding envelop changes over the life of the agreement. It sits within a multi-organisation governance structure.
Grainger plc - a strategic partnership between Grainger (national Housing Company operating across a wide range of sectors in the UK and German Housing markets) and Kier. It provides for a risk allocated delivery of housing maintenance services using a price pre property model. The procurement, completed in under four months, drew on the FastTrack negotiation processes which was developed in recent public sector procurements in Bournemouth and Edinburgh.
Lincolnshire Police - partnership between Lincolnshire Police and G4S was completed in under 8 months as a development of the FastTrack procurement approach. It takes externalisation close to operational areas and includes fire arms licensing, command and control and custody. It is currently one of two SPs in Policing in the UK, both completed by Eversheds.
