Parm joined Eversheds as a Trainee in 1987 and became a Partner in 1997.
Parm is Head of Eversheds' International food and drink sector. His role involves co-ordinating our approach to the large number of clients that we advise internationally in this sector. Parm helps facilitate the sharing of know-how and best practice amongst our lawyers who specialise in this sector. The aim of our food and drink group is to increase our presence and market share by understanding client needs, their business and how we can add value to our advice.
Parm is the founding member of Eversheds' India group and is currently Head of the group. Parm and colleagues visit India regularly on trips to its main cities meeting our clients doing business in India and Indian companies looking to do business outside of India. Parm is client partner for a number of Indian companies including Aditya Birla Group, Axis Bank, Flemingo Duty Free and Sequoia Capital.
Parm regularly participates in "thought leadership" events, chairing panel discussions and hosting workshops on major issues affecting the food and drink sector. Parm also speaks at international conferences on the opportunities available to foreign companies looking to invest into India and the challenges that those companies will face prior to and after making any investment.
Parm's work in the UK is split between urban regeneration, development and management/investment. He was recommended as a leading lawyer in Real Estate by Legal 500.
Parm is a member of the Food and Drink Federation, the Food Law Group, the UK India Business Council and The City UK India Group.
