Personal Profile
Paul has eleven years fee-earning experience at another leading patent practice, where he specialised in patent litigation in the life sciences sector and advised in a number of high-profile disputes. This was followed by more than two years as the IP professional support lawyer at a highly ranked life sciences firm.
Before becoming a lawyer, Paul was a scientist and has a doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Oxford. He also has experience as a bench chemist for a GSK predecessor company.
Paul publishes and speaks on patent related matters regularly, is the author of a book on expert privilege, and the consulting editor of a further book on intellectual property in the life sciences.
Paul is also the editor of Taylor Wessing's Synapse microsite, a unique international online portal providing legal and commercial updates and analysis for the Life Sciences industry.
