Richard is an Associate in our Human Resources Practice Group. He specialises in employment law and has extensive experience of both contentious and non-contentious work. Richard advises his clients on a broad range of employment law issues including complex disciplinary and grievance procedures, collective redundancies, changing terms and conditions, agency workers' rights and working time issues.
Richard has considerable experience of defending Employment Tribunal proceedings and regularly advises on claims of unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, discrimination, trade union detriment and whistleblowing. Richard also conducts Tribunal advocacy on behalf of his clients.
Richard regularly advises on issues relating to the termination of employment (including drafting and negotiating compromise agreements). He also advises on the employment aspects of corporate reorganisations and mergers and acquisitions and has particular experience of TUPE issues. Richard also advises on cross-border matters and regularly undertakes work on a multi-jurisdictional basis.
