Rod joined Stone King in January 2013 as a partner in the Trusts and Estates team in London.
He specialises in advising on, and drafting, complex Wills and trusts, Powers of Attorney, applications for Deputyship and the administration of trusts and estates, all of which often have an international element.
Opportunities to save tax, whether inheritance, capital gains, income or stamp duty, are at the forefront of Rod's advice which clients find easy to understand, no-nonsense and practical.
Rod has had notable successes advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries of estates and trusts who have become dissatisfied with their previous solicitors; he is always happy to discuss concerns on the 'phone or face-to-face.
Rod trained at Gordon Dadds, Mayfair, and qualified as a solicitor in November 1998. He became a partner and head of the Wealth and Estate Planning team at Bolt Burdon, Islington, in April 2003.
Rod is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and was appointed in October 2013 onto the Law Society’s Wills and Equity Committee.
