Ross is a Partner in Taylor Wessing’s Finance group. Ross acts for banks, financial institutions, borrowers and sponsors across a broad range of finance work, including acquisition and leveraged finance, real estate finance, investment funds finance, energy finance (oil and gas) and derivatives.
Ross is qualified under both English law and Scots law and is recommended as a leading expert in his field in the Chambers and Legal 500 legal directories.
Ross’ previous experience includes:
acting for global technology client MultiFonds in connection with the refinancing of its leveraged group facilities provided by Lloyds and Bank of Ireland;
acting for Soho Estates in connection with the financing of the acquisition of the Foyles portfolio comprising over an acre of prime Soho real estate in central London;
acting for a major UK bank in connection with the provision of debt facilities to a private equity investment fund to finance investment acquisition costs and ongoing general working capital and capex;
acting for a major UK bank in connection with the provision of debt facilities to a real estate fund established by a large UK fund manager to finance the acquisition of an industrial property portfolio and to fund the future acquisition of industrial properties that satisfy the bank’s lending criteria;
acting for a major UK bank in connection with the provision of warehouse, equity bridge and co-investment facilities totalling €940mn to the various entities comprised in an investment fund structure established by a major European private equity house; and
acting for RBS as Agent and MLA in respect of the provision of reserves based lending facilities by a syndicate of lenders to the UK subsidiary of a Canadian energy company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange in order to finance the development of offshore gas fields in the UKCS.
