Personal Profile
I qualified in September 2005 and joined Mills & Reeve in August 2008. I am a litigator in our London insurance team and I specialise in defending claims brought against professionals, acting on behalf of insurers as well as their professional insureds.
I have represented a wide range of professionals including insurance brokers, construction professionals, loss adjusters, dentists, optometrists, cosmetic surgeons and solicitors. I have particular expertise in defending claims against solicitors arising from their conduct of personal injury or clinical negligence actions.
Supporting my clients' objectives
I have recently returned to the office, having completed a 12-month secondment working as a professional indemnity claims adjuster with one of our insurer clients. This has been an interesting and rewarding experience. With a focus on handling claims against solicitors, insurance brokers, and independent financial advisers, I have further developed my skills, knowledge and experience in these areas. In addition, the secondment has enabled me to develop a wider perspective, providing significant and invaluable experience of the professional indemnity insurance market, and an enhanced understanding of the pressures facing our insurer clients on a day to day basis.
