Shane is an Associate in the Litigation group, specialising in contentious construction and engineering matters.
He advices on all aspects of construction litigation and has experience in alternative dispute resolution proceedings such as arbitrations, adjudications, mediations, and conciliations both on behalf of employers and contractors.
Shane’s more recent work consisted of advising a contractor in relation to a pending final account for a civil engineering build, advising on adjudication proceedings on behalf of a local authority in relation to a solar energy project, and advising contractors in relation to insurance matters specific to the construction industry. Shane has worked in dispute resolution within the industry for a number of years, trained with a Legal500/Chambers rated boutique construction firm, and has also worked as an in-house solicitor for a major contractor.
Outside of Eversheds his pro bono work involved him in a assisting a number of sports trusts in his native Ireland as well as being a guest judge on Law Society of Ireland international law moots.
