Thomas specialises in both public and private sectors on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, undertaking work on behalf of both employees and employers. He has a particular interest in industrial relations and collective bargaining.
His recent experience includes advising clients on complex re-organisational issues and collective redundancies. Thomas has drafted collective agreements and has experience of industrial action, balloting and trade union recognition issues. He also has expertise in the Working Time Regulations, having carried out audits for companies, and has undertaken complex contract reviews. Thomas also represents clients in employment tribunal claims and has both Magistrates' and County Court advocacy experience.
Thomas has presented seminars and lectures to clients on several aspects of employment law, for organisations such as Croner and for local organisations of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
